About the Development Authority

The Rome-Floyd County Development Authority is tasked with promoting and helping both new and existing companies flourish. We work with industry, agriculture, trade, and commerce, and are managed by a board of directors that includes local government officials and business leaders. The Rome Floyd County Board of Directors meets the third Tuesday of every month at 9:00 am.

The RFCDA works with new industries to help them move to the community, and with existing industries to expand their operations. The RFCDA owns several publicly-owned industrial parks and markets these properties to companies. Additionally, we are authorized to offer incentives to these companies to help lower their cost while they are investing in the community.

We also share what makes Rome and Floyd County special. Among the things we have found are especially valuable to these companies are:

  • Our education and workforce
  • Healthcare system
  • Quality of life

We have experienced that companies are impressed with our “Spirit of Working Together” when they see our city and county department heads working to help a project locate in our community.

Here, everyone wants us to be the best that we can be. Discover what success looks like in Rome.
