Clean Air Industries Looking To Expand Rome Operations
Fresh off a recent rebranding, Clean Air Industries has its eyes on expansion in Rome.
The industrial and educational air filtration business recently acquired 19 Superior Drive next to its current Rome facility at 7 Superior Drive in the Floyd County Industrial Park off Cedartown Highway.
“We are very proud to see Clean Air America growing in place in Floyd County,” said Ryan Earnest, chairman of the Development Authority of Floyd County. “This is a great example of our business friendly community providing an atmosphere conducive to industrial growth and success. We stand ready to assist Clean Air and any of our valuable existing industries in their future plans for expansion.”
Formerly, Clean Air America, the company acquired Kentucky-based Amtech LC in 2023 and expanded its air filtration portfolio. Both companies manufacture air filtration and dust capturing systems but CAA primarily served customers in the vocational arena and Amtech LC focused on industrial applications.
Cornering that market share in one place, while retaining the brand identity of each company, has put them in a good place, said Part Willings, CEO of Clean Air Industries.
The expansion of the Rome-based portion of the business on Superior Drive will allow them to retain an amount of stock, allowing for a shorter lead time between order and delivery.
“We want to continue to grow in Rome,” Willings said. “We’ve had a good track record of recruiting and retaining talent in Rome.”
They’ve expanded the 35,000 square foot facility at 7 Superior Drive, adding another 15,000 square feet of space, and the 19 Superior Drive location has 30,000 square feet of warehouse space already.
Willings also said they’re looking to increase the number of employees at their Rome location from currently in the 30s to the 50s.
“We’re really trying to build a business for growth,” Willings said. “We’ve reinvested the vast majority of our cash profits back into the company and into our employees.”
